One way to develop more content for your blog or favorite social media site is to give people a look behind the scenes at your business or organization. It's a great way to break down the barriers between you and the public, thereby heightening interest in what you do and how you do it. Begin to brainstorm and it won't take long before you'll come up with several ways to give customers that special backroom tour or demonstration. Do you have a manufacturing process you can highlight? What about a new warehouse or distribution network? Maybe it's simply a look inside your offices. There are many possibilities. Probably the best way to produce this kind of content is with video People enjoy seeing what's behind the curtain. Not only does it satisfy their curiosity about your company, they feel like they get to know you better. That, in turn, is likely to increase their appreciation for what you do. That will encourage them to spread the word about you and help build a community of like minded followers, people who may one day become customers.
Probably the best way to produce this kind of content is with video. Don't just explain how you do something, actually show them step by step. Give them a quick video tour of your warehouse or production facility. Post the video on YouTube and a shorter version on Instagram. Take it a step further by explaining why what you're showing them is important, why it saves money, how it will help build the company in the future, etc. Once it's produced and posted, continue to refer to it from time to time and you'll keep the interest going well into the future.
